GEORGE A. SEAMS DIES IN KANSAS

Long-Time Resident Here Succumbs at Age of 78 Years

St. Charles-(Special)-George A. Seams, who for 15 years made his home in St. Charles, died at Washington, Kan., on Nov. 6, it was reported here this week. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Seams was a resident of Madison and Warren counties for many years. About 1920 he removed to Kansas, where he lived until the time of his death.

He was born at Pleasantville, in Marion county, on Jan. 16, 1863. He came to Warren county with his parents. He was married on Feb. 11, 1885, to Effie B. Reither. They were the parents of 10 children, five sons and five daughters, three of whom died in infancy.

Surviving the father are the following children: Edd Seams of Des Moines; Harry Seams of Estherville; Mont Seams of Truro; Leo Seams of Dexter; Mrs. Elva Dexter of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Ora Cook of Winterset and Audra Seams of Truro. He also leaves nine grandchildren.
