Wednesday, March 19, 1941MISS ELIZABETH MAHER DIES
Miss Elizabeth Maher, well known resident of Lee township, died at her home Friday, March 14, after a several months illness. Miss Maher who was 52 years of age, was seriously ill when her mother, Mrs. Maher died March first.
Miss Maher was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Maher, pioneer settlers of Lee township. Most of her life was spent on this farm.
She is survived by six brothers and sisters: William and Kathryn Maher at home; John Maher of Cumming; Mrs. Mary Ryan of Prole; and Mrs. Bridgette Ryan and Mrs. George Meisner of Des Moines. Her parents, one brother and one sister have preceded her in death.
The Rev. J. J. Reynolds conducted Requiem high mass for her at St. Patrick's church Monday morning, at 9 a.m., and burial was made in the church cemetery.
