Mrs. Mary Maher, aged resident of Lee townhip, died at her home Saturday night after an extended illness. Mrs. Maher was 91 years of age.
The Rev. J. J. Reynolds conducted requiem high mass for her at St. Patrick's church Tuesday morning, and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Maher is survived by seven children: William, Kathryn and Elizabeth Maher, at home, John Maher of Cumming, Mrs. Mary Ryan of Prole, and Mrs. Bridgette Ryan and Mrs. George Meisner of Des Moines. Her husband, James Maher and one son, preceded her in death.
Miss Elizabeth Maher is critically ill at the home in Lee township and two trained nurses are assisting with her care.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Maher, 93 years of age, who died at her farm home near Cumming Saturday were held Tuesday morning at nine o’clock in the St. Patrick’s Catholic church in the Irish Settlement near Cumming. Rev. John Reynolds read the Requiem Mass.
Mrs. Maher was born in Ireland and came to Iowa when she was a girl. She had lived on the same farm throughout her entire lifetime.
Surviving are two sons, William who lives at home; John of Cumming; five daughters, Mrs. Bridget Ryan of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Ryan, Cumming; Mrs. G. O. Meisner, Des Moines and Katherine Maher and Elizabeth Maher who lived with her mother, 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
