HELD FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. ELLA WITTER

St. Charles-(Special)-May 3-

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Witter were held at the Christian church last Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Margaret Shephard conducting the service. Mrs. Witter was 80 years of age, and had spent 35 years of her life in and near St. Charles and with her husband had been in the restaurant business a greater part of those 35 years. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her and will be missed by many friends.

She is survived by her husband, A. J. Witter, one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Luddington, with whom she made her home, three grandchildren, Lyle Luddington of Afton, Vernon of Farmersburg and Mrs. Marvis Gates of Lake View, and one great grandchild, Sherry Gates. Two sisters, Mrs. Eva Silliman of Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Josie Waechter of Indianola. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Relatives from a distance who came for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Waechter of Indianola, Mrs. John Luddington and Mrs. Mary Searl of Lorimor, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Silliman of Topeka, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Luddington of Afton, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Gates and Sherry of Lake View, Vernon Luddington of Farmersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Witter of Des Moines.
