ANNA VAN HOSEN IS BURIED HERE

Former Winterset Resident Died Aug. 16 at Red Bluffs, Calif.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Van Hosen, former Winterset resident, who died at Red Bluffs, Calif. on Aug. 16 were held here Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home. The services were in charge of the Rev. W. A.Samp of the Methodist church.

Burial was made in the family lot in the Winterset cemetery, where her husband, E. N. Van Hosen and an infant daughter are buried.

Mrs. Van Hosen was the former Anna Hillerman and was born in Emporia, Kan. As a child she came to Madison county with her parents. They lived at St. Charles, where she was married to E. N. Van Hosen.

For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Van Hosen operated the Arcade hotel in Winterset. They later moved to Des Moines and then to Red Bluffs, Calif., where Mr. Van Hosen died in 1934. Since then she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Bovee of Red Bluffs.

During her residence in Winterset, Mrs. Van Hosen had been an active member of the Methodist church and the Woman's Relief corps.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bovee and Mrs. Vera Trawver of Des Moines; and four sons, William Van Hosan of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Ernest Van Hosen of Los Angeles, and Walter and Orval Van Hosen of Des Moines.
