Life-Long Resident of That Community Was 80 Years of Age
Mrs. L. T. Fogler, a life-long resident of the Patterson community, died at her home there last Friday after a year's illness. She was 80 years of age.
Mrs. Fogler was the former Laura Jane Potter, daughter of Ephriam and Mary Blosser Potter. She was born near Patterson Feb. 5, 1864. Early in life she united with the Patterson Methodist Church.
She was married to L. T. Fogler Nov. 30, 1882 and to this union were born four children; Pearl, Mrs. W. H. Garmon of Des Moines, Guy E. of Patterson, Grace, Mrs. J. A. Garmon of Truro and William C. of Patterson.
In addition to her husband and the two daughters, and two sons, Mrs. Fogler is survived by 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, N. U. Potter of Orange, Calif., a sister, Mrs. J. G. Mahan and a half-sister, Mrs. Sadie Howell both of Winterset.
Funeral services in charge of the Rev. Michael Millen were held Sunday from the Methodist church in Patterson. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery.
