Henry C. Bishop

Henry C. Bishop, son of Stephen T. and Elizabeth Bishop, was born in Warren county, Iowa, November 8, 1863 and departed this life at his home in Madison county, north of Lorimor, May 30, 1934, being 70 years, 6 months and 12 days old.

He was united in marriage to Eva Showers, daughter of Isaac and Rebecca J. Showers, October (28, 1891) (missing information)

He leaves to mourn his passing besides his wife, two sons, Hobson and Orville at home; five daughters: Mrs. R. W. Smith, Seattle, Washington; Mrs. True Shade, Creston; Mrs. John Williams, Creston; Mrs. Clair Wight, Barney and Miss Lillian Bishop, Des Moines; also three grand children: Bernard Shade, Jack Williams and Marilyn Wight; one brother, two sisters and several nieces and nephews, together with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Lorimor Methodist church Friday, June 1, 1934, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Edwin H. Sands, assisted by Rev. Dillman Smith, Chaplain of the Iowa Methodist hospital, Des Moines, and burial was in the Lorimor cemetery.
