FRANK HANN DIES

Former Resident Succumbs at Des Moines Tuesday of This Week

Frank Hann, a resident of Madison county for most of his life, died Tuesday in Des Moines where he had been living for the past three years. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Hann was born in Walnut township on Dec. 20, 1861, and spent his active years as a farmer in this county. Prior to going to Des Moines he had made his home for years in Winterset with his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Welch.

In 1894 he was married to Cora Boughton, and they were the parents of nine children, seven of whom survive their father.

In addition to the seven children, he is survived by his former wife, and leaves five grandchildren and his sister, Mrs. Welch.

Funeral services had not been completed Wednesday noon but they will be held in Winterset from Anderson's home for funerals, and burial will be made in the Peru cemetery.

FRANK HANN DIES AT AGE 78

Long Time Resident of County Succumbs In Des Moines Tues. Morning

Frank Hann, long-time resident of Madison county, died at his home in Des Moines Tuesday following a lingering illness of three years. He was 78 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at the Anderson funeral home in Winterset, this afternoon, Thursday at 3:30. Burial will be made in Peru cemetery.

He was born in the year 1863, the son of Hugh and Jane Hann. In 1894 he was united in marriage to Miss Cora Boughton. He engaged in farming and Scott township where they made their home for a number of years. They were the parents of eight children, one of whom preceded him in death. Following the death of his wife he made his home with his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Welch, for eight years. He then went to Des Moines where he remained until the time of his death.

He is survived by three daughters, Julia, Edna and Beulah all of Oklahoma, and four sons, George, Fred and Clarence of Oklahoma and John of Texas and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Welch of Winterset.
