Dale Stiles, former Winterset resident, died in Des Moines, Monday, November 10th. Mr. Stiles, who was 42 years of age, had been in poor health this summer, but his condition had not been regarded as critical. He was born here, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cash Stiles, his father being Madison county auditor at that time. The Stiles family moved to Des Moines about thirty-five years ago, when his father accepted a position in the State Historical building.
Dale has since made his home in Des Moines. He is survived by his wife, and their one daughter, his mother, and two brothers, Ray and Ralph Stiles. He is a nephew of Charles Stiles of Winterset, and Albert Stiles and Mrs. T. J. McGinnis of Patterson.
His funeral services were held at St. Mark's Episcopal church in Des Moines at 2 o'clock this afternoon, and burial was made in the Pine Hill cemetery.
