SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. A. C. PATTERSON

Funeral services were held Feb. 2 from the Kale Funeral home at Truro for Mrs. A. C. Patterson, whose death had occurred on Jan. 30 after an illness of several weeks. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Patterson was a native of Van Buren, Ind., where she was born June 30, 1881. She was the former Ellen Leota Lamb, daughter of John and Mary Jane Lamb. At an early age she moved with her parents to the Fremont community in northern Clarke county, where her early life was spent.

She was married Oct. 1, 1902 to A. C. Patterson. They were parents of eight children, one son dying in infancy. Mr. Patterson's death occurred in 1944.

Surviving are seven children; Harold of Truro, Pearl of Newton, Donald of Des Moines, Carl of Norwalk, Mrs. Bert McLaughlin of Manitou Springs, Colo., Mrs. Denzil Bonney of Newton and Mrs. Roy Smith of Des Moines.

She also leaves a brother, Floyd Lamb of Truro; three sisters, Mrs. Etta James and Mrs. Viola McNichols of Osceola and Mrs. Alta Brown of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The Rev. Clarence Moore conducted her funeral services. Burial was made in the Fremont cemetery.
