JOE PATRICE DIES IN DES MOINES

Joseph Patrice, former Winterset business man, died at his home in Des Moines, Saturday, as a result of a heart attack. He was 57 years of age.

Mr. Patrice was a native of Italy. He came to the United States when he was 15 years of age and spent most of his life in Des Moines.

From 1937 to 1946 he lived in Winterset and was engaged in the cafe, grocery and tavern businesses here. He operated the Corner tavern here for many years and at one time owned the North Side cafe.

He is survived by his widow who was the former Alberta Powell of Winterset. He also leaves three sons and four daughters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from St. John's Catholic church in Des Moines with burial in the Glendale cemetery.
