MRS. EVA NELSON DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Eva Nelson, a native of Winterset, died Monday, Oct. 18, at a hospital in Vallejo, Calif. She was 60 years of age.

Mrs. Nelson had undergone major surgery at the hospital a few hours prior to her death.

She was the former Eva Locke, daughter of John and Alice Locke, and was born in Winterset, Jan. 19, 1894. Her early life was spent in Winterset. She was married to W. A. Nelson 30 years ago and they made their home in Chicago until after his death in 1952. Last July Mrs. Nelson moved to Vallejo to make her home with a friend.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Adams of Winterset and Mrs. Doris Weaver of Des Moines; and two brothers, Harry and Verne Locke, both of Winterset.

Funeral services were held and burial made at Vallejo last Saturday.
