LULU BELL NEAL DIES LAST FRIDAY

Life-Long Resident of This County Was 79 Years of Age

Mrs. Lulu Bell Neal, a well known resident of the St. Charles community, died at her home there Friday, March 19, at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Neal was the former Lula Bell Alcox, daughter of William and Melvina Alcox. She was born at St. Charles Sept. 6, 1874. She was reared in the Elm Grove community.

She was married Nov. 9, 1902 to James M. Blair. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1920.

Her second marriage was to Robert L. Neal on June 15, 1922. His death occurred in 1936.

Mrs. Neal is survived by a sister, Mrs. Venice Archer of Park Rapids, Minn.; two brothers, Art Alcox of St. Charles and Warn Alcox of Lathrop, Mo., and four step-children, Mrs. Wanda Strable of St. Charles and Frank, Harry and Lee Neal of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset. Burial was made in Blair Chapel cemetery.
