MORTUARY - W. B. Hull

W. B. Hull, son of John and Catherine Hull, was born in Winterset, March 28, 1870. He attended the Winterset schools, but developed so early and was so much larger than the other boys that he quit school at an early age and soon became an expert carpenter.

He was married to Myrtle Gillian (Gilliam) thirty years ago. They had no children, but they both showed many kindnesses to the children of others.

He was for many years a faithful member of the Winterset fire department.

He followed his trade as a carpenter for many years, but in later years he helped in the panatorium. He was taken sick two weeks before his death, but being so strong and rugged he thought he could overcome his sickness without going to bed, and after erysipelas developed he lived only a short time and passed away after much suffering on March 24, 1930, aged 59 years, 11 months and 24 days.

He leaves beside his wife, one sister, Mrs. Mima Van Hook, of Des Moines; one brother, Fred, of California, and other relatives and many friends, who appreciated him for his kindness of heart.

Rev. W. C. Porter conducted the funeral services at Tidrick’s funeral home, Wednesday afternoon, March 26th, and the burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
