EVERETT DUDNEY DIED WEDNESDAY

Death of Thayer Resident Occurs at Hospital in Winterset

Everett E. Dudney, a well known farmer in Madison and Clarke counties died Wednesday Jan. 20 at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. He had been a patient in the hospital since Jan. 3. He was 49 years of age.

Mr. Dudney was a native of Madison county where he was born March 31, 1904, a son of Jack and Myrtle (Guthrie) Dudney. In recent years he had lived at Thayer.

He was married at Creston on July 5, 1928 to Miss Viva Marie Nicholson of Peru.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Doyle Dudney; two daughters, Carol and Donna; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Dudney; three brothers, Guy, Clyde and Dewey Dudney all of Des Moines; and four sisters, Mrs. Fern Cooper and Mrs. Grace Archer of Winterset, Mrs. Pearl Mitchell of New Virginia and Mrs. Pauline Jacobs of St. Marys.

Funeral services were held from the Grace Baptist church in Winterset Sunday conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. C. Shute. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
