MRS. J. H. DOW DIED FEB. 6 AT DAVENPORT

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. J. H. Dow, former Winterset resident, who has been residing in Davenport, for the past 30 years. Mrs. Dow had been in poor health for several years, with diabetes and complications, but death came suddenly Saturday evening February 6th at the age of 83 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Dow were both raised in Davenport, but came here after they were married. He owned and operated an elevator here for a short time and later operated a farm southwest of Winterset, but the family lived in town. He died here about 35 years ago and after that his widow and their two children, returned to Davenport.

Mrs. Dow is survived by the two children, Miss Margaret Dow who resided with her mother and a son John who now lives in Kansas City.

Funeral and burial services were held in Davenport, February 9th.
