MRS. EVA DELONG DIES AT 82 YEARS

Funeral Services for Truro Woman Were Held on July 20

Mrs. Eva DeLong, a well known resident of Truro, died Sunday, July 18, at the age of 82 years.

Mrs. DeLong was born in Clarke county, March 28, 1872 but had lived at Truro for many years. She was the former Eva Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jones. She was married July 5, 1890, and was the mother of six children. One son, George DeLong died in 1941 and another, Loy DeLong in 1945.

She is survived by one son, Harry B. DeLong of Truro; three daughters, Mrs. Flossie Patterson and Effie DeLong, both of Truro and Mrs. Fae Ritchart of Orient; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Smith of Des Moines, Mrs. Ida Garst of Truro and Mrs. Edith Whitehead of Lorimor.

Funeral services were held July 20 from the Truro Methodist church with burial in the Fields cemetery in Clarke county.
