Mrs. Cora Durham Of St. Charles Dies

Mrs. Cora M. Durham, a resident of South township for practically all her life, died last Friday, Oct. 29 at Des Moines, where she had lived the past year. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Durham was the former Cora Myrtle Fife, daughter of Amos and Lucy Ann Fife. She was born at St. Charles Oct. 10 1869. With the exception of four years in Wyoming and this last year in Des Moines, her life was spent in the St. Charles community.

She is survived by two sons, Harold Durham of Prole and Harry Durham of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Maine of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Cash Fife of Spring Hill.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
