Wednesday, April 21, 1954REV. EARL B. CLARK DIES IN CALIFORNIA
The Rev. Earl B. Clark, pastor of the Christian church at Manteca, Calif., died at his home there April 14 at the age of 63 years.
The Rev. Mr. Clark was a native of Winterset, where he was born March 8, 1891 the only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Clark. He was a grandson of Caleb and Ruth Clark who were with the first group of settlers in Madison county.
His early life was spent in and near Winterset. He studied for the ministry at Drake University in Des Moines and had served pastorates in several western states.
He was married Jan. 1, 1913 to Lucile Kirby of Winterset who survives him. He also leaves tow sons, Raymond Clark of Los Angeles and John Clark of Redwood City, Calif.; four grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ada M. Hoots of Des Moines and Lois E. Hircock of Winterset.
Funeral services and burial were held last Friday at Manteca.
