NEW VIRGINIA MAN BURIED AT WINTERSET

Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home at Winterset last Wednesday for Henry H. Brown of New Virginia, whose death occurred at his home there Jan. 31.

Mr. Brown was born at Bennington, Nebr., on Oct. 3, 1882, a son of George and Lorraine Brown and was 71 years of age at his death. He was married at Boone, Iowa on August 28, 1906, to Mabel Rice. They were parents of three children.

He lived for a number of years at Casper, Wyo., where he served as councilman and city electrician before moving to a farm near Mt. Ayr in 1944. He had lived at New Virginia since 1950.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mamie Brown of Midwest, Wyo.; two sons, Russell Brown of Loveland, Colo., and Robert Brown of the U. S. Navy; a sister, Mrs. Ivan Sloan and a brother, James H. Brown, both of Omaha.

The Rev. S. C. Picken, pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church, conducted his funeral services here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
