FRED T. McDANIEL, DIES

Funeral services for Fred T. McDaniel of Granada, Minn., were held at the Anderson home for funerals Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the U. B. cemetery north of Winterset.

Mr. McDaniel was born June 12, 1871, in this county, the son of Allen H. and Harriet Jane McDaniel. His early life was spent in this county, and on Oct. 29, 1892 he was married to Mary Arena Davis. After farming for a few years in this county they moved to Elliott, N. Dak. At the death of their niece, they adopted her four children: Doris, Florence, Floyd and Ralph. Nineteen years ago they went to Minnesota where they have since resided.

Mr. McDaniel was a member of the Odd Fellow and Masonic lodges and of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife and their four children: Mrs. Doris Timm of Waseca, Minn.; Mrs. Florence Skellenger of Dexter; Floyd of Hatfield, Minn.; and Ralph at home. He also leaves four brothers, four sisters, and six grandchildren.

The Rev. Tom Foglesong conducted his funeral services here Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Fred McDaniel Dies In Minnesota

Funeral services for Fred McDaniel, who died suddenly Saturday at his home in Granada, Minn., were held Tuesday afternoon at the Anderson funeral home. Rev. Tom Foglesong conducted. Burial was made in the U. B. cemetery.

Fred McDaniel who was the son of Allen and Harriett McDaniel, was born in Union township, Madison county, June 12, 1871. He was married to Miss Mary Davis of Madison county and first lived in this county in South township, then moving to Elliott, Ransom county, N. D., where he was in business. Later he moved to Granada, Minn., which had been his home for sixteen years.

He is survived by his wife, two foster children, four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Ora Miller of Ohio township, Mrs. Oscar Carter of South are his sisters and Mrs. Dora Nickel of St. Charles is an aunt. George McDaniel of South township inches youngest brother; Grant, Early and Leonard McDaniel live in Ransom county, N. D.
