Lincoln Township Farmer Passes After Illness of Three Weeks
Guy Ross Adams, a resident of Madison county for most of his life, died here Sunday at the home of his sister, Callie Adams of Winterset.
Mr. Adams had spent practically all his life as a farmer southwest of Winterset. His fatal illness was of about three weeks duration, and he had spent that time in Winterset at the home of his sister. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Adams was born in Lincoln township on Oct. 27, 1874, the son of Isaac and Clarinda Ross Adams. He was married on Nov. 12, 1917 to Inez Holland of near Lorimor. They were the parents of six children.
He is survived by his wife; and the following children: Miss Agatha Adams of Des Moines, Clayton Adams of Camp Claiborne, La., and Milo, May, Lloyd and Lila Adams at home. He also leaves two sisters, Callie Adams and Mrs. Matt Walters, both of Winterset. Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Anderson's home for funerals in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp, pastor of the Methodist church here. Burial was made in the Gordon cemetery south of Winterset.
