Mrs. Charles Higgs, former Madison county resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Atkinson of Compton, Cal., May 16th, at the age of 77 years. Mrs. Higgs was a daughter of the late J. R. Davis, and she left this county 35 years ago.
She leaves one sister, Mrs. Will Young of St. Charles, and three children: Mrs. Maud Archer of Alberta, Canada, Irvin Higgs of Great Falls, Montana, and Mrs. Atkinson, with whom she resided. Funeral and burial services were held in Compton.
