ARTHUR C. BARTLETT DIED HERE THURSDAY

Former Winterset Business Man Succumbs to Heart Ailment

Arthur C. Bartlett, formerly a well-known Winterset business man died at his home at 604 E. Green street last Thursday. He was 69 years of age and had been in ill health for some time, due to a heart ailment.

Mr. Bartlett was born in Illinois on Oct. 6, 1869. For a number of years he operated a grocery store in Winterset, and recently returned to make his home here after spending the past 10 years in Des Moines.

Mr. Bartlett is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Phil Powers of Winterset and Mrs. H. K. Barrett of Dayton, O. He also leaves two grandchildren, Dona Gail and Tommy J. Barrett.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Tidrick funeral home in charge of the Rev. J. R. McNichols, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
