CHAS. HILL, 71, OF WINTERSET IS DEAD

Funeral Rites Were Held Saturday From Tidrick's

Charles Hill, a long-time Madison county resident, died at his home in Winterset last Thursday. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Hill was born in Illinois on August 26, 1865, the son of Anthony and Anna (Deck) Hill. He moved to Iowa in 1890 and this state had since been his home.

On November 30, 1893, he was married to Ada Thornburg. They farmed for a number of years in Madison county and later moved to Winterset. Here he followed the trade of teamster.

He united with the Winterset Church of Christ in 1915 and remained a member until his death.

He is survived by his widow; a son, Wilbur Hill of Winterset; a nephew Lawrence Jackson; a brother, Jake Hill of Medora, Illinois and two sisters, Mary Burnham of Lorimor and Sarah Short of Medora, Illinois.

Funeral services were conducted from the Tidrick's funeral home Saturday in charge of the Rev. H. L. Olmstead, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
