MORTUARY

Michael Dorgan was born Feb. 22, 1855 near Belview, Iowa. When a small boy he moved with his parents to a farm four miles southeast of Booneville where he lived until two years before his death.

Mr. Dorgan had been in failing health for several years, and the last two had been spent in the Mercy hospital in Des Moines. Only the last few weeks of his life was he bedfast, passing away at the age of 83, on Tuesday, January 11, at the Mercy hospital.

He leaves to mourn his loss, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral services were held Friday morning at the Cumming Catholic church, with interment at St. Patrick's cemetery.

Death of Michael Dorgan

Michael Dorgan of Booneville long-time resident of Lee Township died last week at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, after a long period of failing health. He was 83 years of age.

His nearest surviving relative is a brother, Richard Dorgan, also of Lee Township.

Funeral services were held last Friday from St. John’s Catholic Church in Cumming and burial was made in the St. Patrick’s cemetery in Lee Township.
