MRS. CLYDE RHONE OF PERU IS DEAD

Passes at Winterset Hospital Last Week Following Operation

Mrs. Clyde W. Rhone, a well-known woman of Walnut township, died at the Winterset hospital last Friday.

Mrs. Rhone had been in ill health for the past year. She entered the hospital here on December 23, and on Tuesday of last week she underwent a major operation. Her death followed three days later. She was 41 years of age.

Mrs. Rhone was the former Grace Jane Foland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Foland, and was born August 28, 1896, in Yerington, Nev. At the age of 5 years, she came with her family to Blakesburg, Ia., living there until 1910, when they moved to Page City, Kan. In 1914 the family returned to Iowa living at Decatur City for one year, and then to Barney, and she had since made her home in this county.

On June 23, 1915, she was married to Clyde W. Rhone. They were the parents of three children. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Glen F. Rhone of Peru, Mrs. Donald Lawton of Peru, and Wilma Faye at home; her mother, Mrs. Laura Foland of Peru; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Jordan and Mrs. Percy Crees of Peru; and her brother, Walter Foland of Los Angeles, Cal.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Peru Methodist church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. J. H. Machlan. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
