Mrs. Charles William Pinckney, well known Grand River township resident, died Monday, April 11th at her home near Macksburg, at the age of 63 years. Mrs. Pinckney was the former Nettie Mae Porter, eldest daughter of Edward and Sarah Porter, and was born at Atlantic, February 11, 1855.

On February 7, 1892 she was married to Charles William Pinckney, and they were the parents of three children: Edward Leo of Lorimor, Frances Elnora McGinnis of Alviso, California, and Agnes of Macksburg.

Mrs. Pinckney spent most of her life in the Macksburg community and was a charter member of the Epworth league of the Macksburg Methodist church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on January 18, 1936, one sister in 1931 and a brother, who died in childhood. She is survived by her three children, ten grandchildren, two brothers, Will Porter of Fullerton, California, and Henry Porter, of Riverside, California.

The Rev. M. D. Summerbell conducted her funeral services at the Methodist church Thursday, April 14, and burial was in the Moon cemetery.
