MRS. EMILY JANE PRINE OF MACKSBURG, PASSES

85-Year-Old Woman Had Lived in County Since 1894

Macksburg - (Special) - Mrs. Emily Jane Prine, a resident of this community since 1894, died July 5 at the home of her niece, Mrs. Ora Macumber. She was 85 years of age.

Mrs. Prine was the former Emily Jane Abbot, daughter of George and Malinda Pindle Abbot, and was born January 26, 1853 in Brown county, Ohio. There she spent the early years of her life.

After her marriage to Jacob B. Prine, on December 19, 1874, they moved to Missouri, living there until moving to this community. Here her husband died in 1922.

Mrs. Prine was a regular attendant at the Methodist church here.

Funeral services were held in the Macksburg Methodist church July 7, conducted by the Rev. M. D. Summerbell. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
