Des Moines, IowaCarl J. Johnson, 80, of Earlham died of cancer Monday (Oct. 12) at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery here.
Mr. Johnson had lived in Des Moines all his life before moving to Earlham 10 years ago. He was a retired installer with Iowa Power and Light Co., an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the electrical-workers union and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Millie; a stepson, Mike White of Des Moines; a sister, Hazel Witmer of Urbandale; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
