Word was received here last week of the death of Fred W. Grout, on May 16, at Pasadena, Cal.
Mr. Grout was a native of Winterset, and leaves many relatives here. He moved from here to California 28 years ago, but has visited here several times, the most recent being last summer.
His near surviving relatives are his wife, and two brothers, Ed Grout of Winterset, and H. A. Grout of Trinidad, Colo.
