Elizabeth Ann Moore was born to James and Martha Moore, Aug. 31, 1885 near Peru and passed away at her home near Murray, Nov. 12, 1938.

On Nov. 15, 1903 she was united in marriage to George Clifton. To this union eleven children were born: Harold Leo of Afton, Clarance Ira, Mrs. Freda Woods and George Emert of Murray, Lewis Arnold, Everett Chester, Marie Hallie, Viola Elizabeth, Neva Gretchen and Shirley Mae at home. One son Russell, passed away in infancy.

In 1916 she became a member of the Christian church of Murray and continued in that faith until her death although the past few years her efforts and most loyal support was to help in the Union church and Sunday school, that being nearest to her home.

In 1926 she became a member of the Rebekah lodge of Murray.

Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her passing, nine grandchildren, three daughter-in-laws, a brother, Herbert, a sister, Myrtle Moore of Winterset, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Watts funeral home, by Rev. I. R. Magers and burial was made in the Murray cemetery.
