Madison Township Farmer Had Been Resident Since 1891
Ellsworth Palmer, well-known farmer of Madison county since 1891, died at his home in Madison township last Friday. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Palmer was born March 13, 1872, at Carlock, Illinois. At the age of 19 years he came to this county with his parents. He was married in 1894, to Nettie Raitt. They were the parents of three children, one of whom, Herm, preceeded his father in death.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Floyd; a daughter, Hazel; four grandchildren, and three brothers and three sisters: S. D. Palmer and Mrs. Eva Paullin of Des MOines, Carey Palmer of Patterson, Malissa Finney and Maggie Finney of Peru, and Lee Palmer of Winterset.

June 1938Ellsworth Palmer was born at Carlock, Illinois, March 13, 1872. At the age of 19 he moved with his parents to Iowa. He was married to Nettie Raitt in 1894. To this union three children, floyd, Herm and Hazel were born. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife, two children, (Herm having preceeded his father in death), three brothers and three sisters, S. D. Palmer and Eva Paullin of Des Moines, Carey Palmer of Patterson, Malissa Finney and Maggie Finney of Peru, and Lee Palmer of Winterset, besides a host of relatives and friends.
