LEMUEL SHOFF OF PITZER SUCCUMBS

Desth Occurred Thursday at Age of 58 Years

Lemuel Shoff, a life-long resident of Madison county, died at his home near Pitzer last Thursday after a serious illness. He was 58 years of age.

Mr. Shoff was born in Madison county on June 28, 1888, the son of John and Mary Shoff. All of his life was spent in the Pitzer community, with the exception of a few years in which he resided in Winterset.

He was married on Nov. 19, 1902, to Etta J. Hindman. They were the parents of one son. Both the wife and son survive him.

He was a member of the Pitzer United Presbyterian church.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Charles E. Courtney, pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church and the Rev. Reed Kessler, pastor of the Pitzer United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
