Friday, March 5, 1937Death of Wayne Poindexter
Ray Poindexter received word Sunday of the death of his nephew Wayne Poindexter, 28 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Poindexter of Laramie, Wyoming. The young man died Saturday, February 27th in a government hospital in Washington D.C. from influenza. He had been employed in the treasury department in Washington for the past two years.
Wayne was born in Madison county but left here with his parents when he was nine years of age. He is survived by his parents, one brother and four sisters. Funeral services and burial will be held in Laramie.
Ray Poindexter took his mother, Mrs. Bessie Poindexter to Ames Sunday to meet a train that Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Poindexter were on. In Chicago, they received word that their son had died. J. E. Poindexter went on to Washington for the remains and his wife and mother returned to Laramie.
