Rev. Elliott Conducted Rites Saturday at United Brethren Church
Mrs. Elzina Taylor, a resident of Madison county since childhood, died at her home in Jefferson township last Thursday after an illness of several months. She was 70 years of age and had been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Taylor was the former Elzina Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Davis, and was born in the state of New York. She came to Madison county with her parents at the age of six years, and practically all of the remainder of her life was spent here. She united with the Union Chapel congregation as a child, and later affiliated with the United Brethren church where she was one of the oldest members.
She was married to B. S. Taylor in 1897.
She leaves her husband; her daughter, Mrs. T. J. Hartfield; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Velma Taylor; and two grandchildren, all of this county.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the United Brethren church in charge of the Rev. E. A. Elliott. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery in Jefferson township.
