FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN OREGON

Charles Levi Farris of Newport, Ore., died Sept. 17 of heart disease, according to reports received here this week.

Mr. Farris was a former Madison county resident, having been born and reared in this community, but for the past 20 years his home had been in the coast city.

Among his near surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Seth Brittain of Winterset; and two brothers, A. M. Farris of Des Moines and Francis D. Farris of Ansley, Neb.
