WILLIAM LOWE, AGED RESIDENT, DIED FEB. 27

Truro (Special), March 7. William Lowe, aged Truro resident, died Sunday, February 27th, at the home of his son James, near Seymour, at the age of 90 years and 11 months.

Mr. Lowe came to this county with his parents, Jonathan and Mary Downard Lowe, when he was nine years of age, and they settled on a farm near Truro, where he lived until moving to Truro 22 years ago.

Mr. Lowe was married to Laura C. Phipps, on October 6, 1878 and they were the parents of five children: James of Seymour, Mrs. C. C. Neff, Mrs. H. B. Woods and Perry W. Lowe of Truro, and Harry W. Lowe of Crookston, Nebraska. On October 7, 1933, his companion of fifty-three years preceded him in death.

The deceased was the last survivor of a family of eleven children. In addition to his five children, he leaves 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

The remains were brought to Truro on Sunday and the funeral was held from Kale's Funeral home Tuesday, March 1, at 1 o'clock.

Burial was in the Fields cemetery southwest of Truro.
