RITES HELD HERE FOR JOHN YOUNG

Former Local Resident Had Died January 4 in North Dakota

John C. F. Young, a resident of Madison county for most of his life, died at his home in St. John, North Dakota, January 4. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Young was the son of William and Lucinda Young, and was born November 30, 1856, in Warren county. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Stauffer on March 14, 1882. She died in 1915. They were the parents of five children, one daughter dying in infancy.

He leaves four children, Mrs. Minnie Roy of St. John, N. Dak., Earnest Young of Kansas City, Mo., Elmer Young of Winterset, and John Young of Omaha, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Gamble; and three brothers, Hugh and Oscar Young of Winterset and William Young of Tipton.

Funeral services were held from Tidrick's funeral home in Winterset Sunday, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
