MRS. McK MILLER PASSED LAST WEEK

Had Been Local Resident for 50 Years; Died at Age of 85 Years

Mrs. McK. Miller, one of Winterset's oldest residents died at her home here last Thursday at the age of 85 years.

Mrs. Miller was a native of Milford, Conn., and was born Nov. 8, 1852. She was the former Maimee Frances Clarke, daughter of Jason and Grace Clarke. When she was a child, the family moved to Woodhull, Ill., where she was reared.

She was married at Galesburg, Ill., on Nov. 22, 1875, to Dr. Frank McK. Miller. They were the parents of three children, Bertrand, now deceased, and Mrs. Addie Alexander and Mrs. Georgette Buchanan of Winterset.

Mrs. Miller was long active in club and church work in Winterset. For more than 40 years she was a member of the Womans' Relief corps. Her home had been in Winterset for the past 50 years.

Mrs. Miller was reared as a member of the Presbyterian church, but as a young woman she united with the Methodist church, retaining her membership through her life.

She is survived by her two daughters, and the three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, conducted by the Rev. L. F. Davis, assisted by the Rev. M. R. Talley. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
