Willis Royal Mabbitt, infant son of Thomas Earl and Leadora Mabbitt was born at Iowa City Dec. 30, 1941 and departed this life at his home in DeSoto June 23, 1942 at the age of six months and three days.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, three brothers, Albert Earl, Francis Eugene and John Wesley, three sisters, Dorothy May, Rose Marie and Sadie Louise, his grandfather, J. A. Harrison of Winterset, and his grandmother, Mrs. Elmer Banks of Winterset. He also leaves nine aunts and four uncles. A brother preceded him in death Nov. 5, 1937.
The Rev. Irene E. Brown conducted his funeral services at the Foursquare church in Winterset. Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. and burial was made in the Jackson cemetery. (Eppard-Pitzer cemetery)
