Evelyn Fast Death Recorded

Evelyn Fast, a resident of Madison County since 1946, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, July 29, 1975. She was 64 years of age. Her former residence was in St. Charles, Iowa.

Mrs. Fast was born December 10, 1910 in Knox City, Missouri, the daughter of William Strange and Bertha Morrison. She was one of thirteen children born to the couple. Her marriage to Paul Fast took place November 9, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Surviving Mrs. Fast is her husband Paul Fast of St. Charles, and six children: Dean Fast of St. Charles; Mrs. Donovan (Marianna) Drake of Indianola; Roger Fast of Indianola; Larry Fast of Des Moines; Lanny Fast of Des Moines and David Fast of St. Charles. Mrs. Fast is survived by twelve grandchildren.

Also surviving is her father, William Strange of St. Charles, six brothers and three sisters: Theodore Strange of St. Charles; Everett Strange of Davis City, Mo.; Ernest Strange of Ontario, Calif.; Dora Glidewell of Milan, Mo.; Edna Damon of Quincy, Ill.; Bob Strange of Alton, Iowa; Alfred Strange of Knox City, Mo.; Elmer Strange of New Virginia, Iowa and Mary Homan of Des Moines.

Mrs. Fast was preceded in death by her mother, one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fast were conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 1975 at the United Methodist Church of St. Charles, Iowa with burial at St. Charles Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. ==== Ringle.
