Death of Wesley J. Perkins

Mrs. T. A. Garretson received word last week of the death of her father, Wesley J. Perkins, on Friday, September 27th at his home in Spokane, Washington. Mr. Perkins who was 80 years of age was born in Madison county, April 16, 1885. He spent the early years of his life on the farm in Lincoln township. In 1889 the family moved to Winterset, where he was employed as a rural mail carrier until 1909, when the moved to Spokane where they have since resided.

He was affiliated with the I.O.O.F. lodge of Winterset and the Masonic and Elk lodges of Spokane. He leaves his wife and seven children and eight grandchildren, all of whom live in the west with the exception of Mrs. Garretson.

Funeral and burial services were held in Spokane.
