James Walter Loomis

His entire life of nearly sixty years was spent near Truro, except five years in Nebraska. His life was devoted to farming. He was a successful farmer. His sudden death was a shock to neighbors and friends as well as to his relatives.

On November 12, 1902, he was united in marriage to Lillie M. Goodrich of Prairie Grove. To them were born three children, two sons and one daughter, Cecil and Lloyd of Truro and Mrs. Donald Winnette of Dedham. There are two grandchildren, also three brothers and three sisters, W. W. Loomis, and Roy C. of Truro and Ralph of New Virginia; Mrs. Louis Sullivan and Mrs. Charles Little of Truro and Mrs. Raymond Lovell of Orin, Wyoming. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
