DR. C. L. DICKINSON, 94, DIES AT CRESTON

Burial services for Dr. C. L. Dickinson, who died at Creston on Dec. 30, were held at the Winterset cemetery on Wednesday of last week, where interment was made.

Doctor Dickinson, who was 94 years old, was the last surviving Civil war veteran in Union county. Although his death occurred in Creston, where he had lived with a daughter in recent years, Doctor Dickinson spent most of his life in Winterset and was one of Madison county's pioneer physicians. He also operated the Arcade hotel here for some time.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Creston last Wednesday, with military honors, conducted by a firing squad from the Winterset post of the American Legion. Adj. Gen. Charles H. Grahl of the Iowa National Guard, spoke briefly.
