NOAH W. OGLESBEE SERVICES THURSDAY

Long-Time Resident at Elm Grove Died at Webster City Sept. 28

N. W. Oglesbee, a well known farmer in Madison county for most of his life, died Monday, Sept. 28, at the Hamilton county hospital in Webster City. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Oglesbee was born May 2, 1872, in Cass county, but his active years were spent farming in the Elm Grove community of Madison county. He had been a member of the Elm Grove church since 1912.

He was married Nov. 24, 1895, to Rosa May Stevens, who preceded him in death, together with five of their children.

He is survived by six children: Harry and Everett Oglesbee of Winterset, Harley Oglesbee of Des Moines, Mrs. Versa Faust of St. Charles, Mrs. Gladys Evans of Macksburg and Mrs. Nellie King of Kamrar. He also leaves 22 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Oglesbee of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the St. Charles Methodist church conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the Elm Grove cemetery.
