CHARLES PINCKNEY DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

Chas. Pinckney died suddenly at his home east of town Saturday morning after a few days illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. M. D. Summerbell and burial was made in the Moon cemetery. More details of his life will be given next week.

Death of Charles Pinckney

A heart attack brought on by exertion in the cold was fatal to Charles W. Pinckney, life-long Grand River township resident, on January 18. He was 64 years old.

Mr. Pinckney was born on a farm northeast of Macksburg on June 23, 1871. His entire life was spent near Macksburg, except for two years in California. He was one of the charter member of the Epworth league of the Methodist church there.

He married Miss Netta Mae Porter on February 7, 1872. They were the parents of three children, Edward Pinckney of Lorimor, Mrs. Francis McGinnis of Orleans, Nebraska and Miss Agnes Pinckney of Lorimor.

In addition to the widow and children, surviving relatives include three brothers, Joe, Leo and George Pinckney, all of Macksburg; a sister, Mrs. Edith Hilberry of Macksburg; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 21st from the Methodist church in Macksburg, conducted by the Rev. M. D. Summerbell. Burial was made in the Macksburg cemetery.
