DEATH OF MRS. J. M. LEE

Word was received here Monday evening of the death of Mrs. J. M. Lee at her home in Pueblo, Colorado, due to an internal hemorrhage. Mrs. Lee was Eunice Walker before her marriage and was raised in the Ebenezer neighborhood near Peru. She was 82 years of age.

Funeral services were held at Pueblo Wednesday afternoon, and the body sent to Macksburg for burial. Short services will be held at the Moon cemetery Friday morning at 11 o’clock.

Mrs. Lee was well known in Winterset as well as in Macksburg where her husband was in the general mercantile business for a number of years. They later moved to Winterset and then to Colorado. Mr. Lee died last July, and at that time Mrs. Lee visited for several weeks with relatives here and in Peru.

She is survived by her seven children: Bert Lee of Temple City, California; W. M. Lee of Mitchell, Nebraska; Mrs. J. C. Rugg, Fred W. Lee, H. N. Lee, and Grace D. Lee of Pueblo, Colorado; and Mrs. Chas. Rowe of Winterset.
