May 20, 1942MAGNUS ANDERSON IS KILLED IN DENVER
Magnus Anderson, former Madison county resident died last Wednesday from fatal injuries received in an accident in which he was crushed in a cement mixer at Denver, Colorado. Mr. Anderson who was 34 years of age, spent most of his life in this county. He was a son of the late Nels Anderson, and he was raised in the Truro neighborhood. He went west 15 years ago but in 1939 and 1940 resided on the Doak farm north of Winterset. For the past two years, he had been employed by a construction company in Denver.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife and their three children, Mardell, Marie and Paul of Denver. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Sofie Anderson and brother, Theodore of Crawford township and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Brittain and Mrs. Elmer Fitzgerald of Winterset. His father, Nels Anderson died a few months ago.
Funeral and burial services were held at Denver Saturday. His mother, brothers and sisters went to Denver to attend the final rites. Theodore Anderson returned to his home Tuesday and others will return here the latter part of the week.
