FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR GUY HAYS

Guy M. Hays of 517 N. First St., died Monday, March 24, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 87.

Born on March 10, 1893, in Chamberlain, S.D., he was the son of Steven A. and Elsie Tidrick Hays. On Dec. 4, 1912, he was united in marriage to Lora Clements in Winterset. His wife survives him. Mr. Hays farmed in the Pitzer neighborhood until his retirement in 1965.

Also surviving are a son, Miller Hays of Issaquah, Wash.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Gamble of St. Charles and Louise Cole of Spirit Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. David Livingston officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
